The Symmetry Foundation is a non-profit impact litigation organization focused solely on reducing abusive patent assertions by making patent trolling less profitable. Symmetry seeks to reduce trolling by challenging the most valuable and asserted patents held by high profile entities engaged in trolling, making trolling less desirable as an investment and activity. Many notable and repeat patent trolls make much of their revenue by asserting a small percentage of their patent portfolio. Symmetry identifies and challenges these high-revenue patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Lee Cheng is the Chief Legal Officer, SVP of Corporate Development, Head of the Office of the Chairman and Corporate Secretary at Newegg Inc., a $2.8B global (N. America and China) internet retailer that is the largest privately held e-commerce company in North America. He oversees or has run Newegg’s Legal, Corporate Development, Compliance, Ethics, Human Resources, Government Relations and Risk Management functions, and created the Newegg Foundation to facilitate and encourage community and philanthropic activity at Newegg.
Chief Performance/Legal Officer
Tim Wilson is Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in the Legal Division at SAS, where he leads the patent practice, and advises on intellectual property law and competitive intelligence issues. Prior to joining SAS, Tim was an associate at Brown Raysman in New York, where he counseled clients on licensing and outsourcing transactions. Tim received his JD from Syracuse University College of Law in 1992 and a BS from Pennsylvania State University in 1989. Tim is a member of the Editorial Board of Intellectual Property Magazine.

Founder and administrator of Fark.com, one of the largest news aggregators on the web, Drew brings 14 years of strategic business leadership experience and a deep understanding of mainstream news cycles. He became a voice for entrepreneurs affected by NPE’s at TED 2012, where he received rave reviews for his talk on successfully beating a patent troll in 2010. He recently completed two MBAs at Berkeley and Columbia.
